DIY wooden educational STEM kit “Electric Tank”. Once assembled, the toy moves forward, demonstrating real-world engineering principles in action. This construction kit helps children learn the basics of engineering, mechanics, and electricity in the simplest and most engaging way.
Features:
This is a construction kit, toy, and educational tool all in one. This hands-on educational toy allows children to assemble their own working tank while understanding the principles of mechanics, motion, and electricity. Once assembled, the battery-powered tank can drive forward, and thanks to its rubber tracks, it can overcome small obstacles. Children can observe how the rubber tracks grip different surfaces (for example, why it moves better on tiles than on slippery glass). If the axle is too slippery or the track is too loose, the tank will stay in place even though the motor is spinning. Children learn how to ensure proper traction.
During assembly, children develop fine motor skills and precision, while the interactive learning experience encourages creativity, problem-solving, and curiosity about how things work.
Made from non-toxic wood. The wooden parts are smooth, durable, and assembled without glue.
Once assembled, the toy can be painted, decorated, and personalized with a unique appearance.
Easy assembly: simple and clear instructions allow children to assemble the toy with minimal adult supervision, making the kit suitable for independent work or activities together with parents.
STEM (Science + Technology + Engineering + Mathematics) is an educational approach that integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into a unified learning model to prepare the younger generation for the rapidly developing world of technology.
This is an excellent gift choice, as well as a useful kit for schools and educational institutions where simple, reliable, and clearly functioning teaching models are needed.
Working principle:
The model has an electric motor (battery-powered) that transfers rotational motion to the wheels, allowing the assembled tank to drive by itself. A switch on top of the tank turns the movement on and off.
Building a circuit: by connecting the battery holder, switch, and motor, children learn what a closed electrical circuit is.
Direct drive: the electric motor directly rotates one of the wheels through its axle.
Friction force: the motor axle directly contacts the wheel, and the wheel contacts the rubber track. It is the force of friction that allows the whole mechanism to move forward.
Educational value: children are introduced to electrical circuits and mechanical engineering.
Purpose: learning at home, in the classroom, and for project-based activities.
